Head of Department - Customer Logistics (m/f/d)

DSJ Global are partnered with one of the world\’s largest automotive Tier 1 Suppliers, in their search for a Head of Customer Logistics. This position will lead a team of 10-12 people in a complex and invigorating production plant. Please see the details below:

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to teams in customer logistics, packaging, and shipping documentation, fostering their continuous development.
• Ensure seamless communication and coordination between customers, business units, production, and shipping/packaging departments.
• Proactively manage and escalate supply chain bottlenecks to maintain operational continuity.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to develop accurate sales forecasts.
• Oversee the timely fulfilment of customer requirements and actively contribute to production planning.
• Maximise delivery performance and continuously enhance customer satisfaction and reliability.
• Manage and adhere to the cost centre budget, ensuring financial efficiency.
• Lead and support initiatives aimed at optimising processes and increasing overall efficiency.

Your Profile:

• A degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
• Hands-on experience in order procurement and supply chain management, particularly in customer logistics.
• Several years of leadership experience in a similar role, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
• Strong expertise in customer logistics, SCM execution processes, and operational order procurement within an international organisation.
• Extensive experience using SAP R/3 or S/4HANA in an operational setting.
• Excellent analytical skills with a solution-oriented approach.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities, with confidence in international environments.
• Fluency in both German and English, spoken and written.
