Do you want to join a global pharmaceutical company but prefer a small team with entrepreneurial spirit? Join our Tissue & Cell Research Center, a pre-clinical R&D unit specialized in innovative research using human tissues and primary cells, based in Martinsried near Munich. We are seeking for a:

Research Scientist – Translational Research (m/f/x) (limited contract)

Key responsibilities:

  1. Design, execute and monitor in vitro research projects, providing results within given timelines to support the global R&D, especially medicinal safety and ADME.
  2. Develop and validate fit-for-purpose human-based in vitro assays to assess tissue-specific effects of novel therapeutic agents (i.e. antibody-drug conjugates).
  3. Document, evaluate, interpret, and present the study results in internal and external meetings.
  4. Prepare and review reports and protocols to ensure the quality and integrity of data.
  5. Be a collaborative team member, providing scientific and technical support for colleagues.
  6. Conduct hands-on laboratory experiments while working in a team with research assistants.
  7. Serve as a partner for daily communication with scientists in R&D Center in Tokyo.
  8. Maintain expertise in the field through literature reviews, attending relevant meetings, and liaising with external experts in the field.

Professional experience and personal skills:

  1. Doctoral degree in Life Sciences and several years of relevant working experience in pharmaceutical industry, biotech or academia.
  2. Demonstrated experience in toxicity assessment, assay development and validation.
  3. Hands-on laboratory experience in primary cell isolation and culture as well as immunoassays or cell-based assays.
  4. Excellent organizational skills paired with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  5. Ability to work in a global environment.
  6. Strong team player, open-minded, showing a proactive approach and accountability.
  7. Excellent command of the English language – knowledge of the German language is a plus.

The contract is fixed-term until 31.12.2026.
