Global Key Account Manager (m/f/d) – Automotive
About this role
The Global Key Account Manager will cooperate with the Global Key Account Director to develop and manage a close collaboration and technical partnership with a leading German Tier 1 account, resulting in the highest possible level of customer satisfaction while maximizing sales and profit. The ideal candidate will be working remotely from home in Southern Germany or in our Munich office.
What you will do
- Responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize sales and profit at your account. Taking ownership for relevant KPI’s and driving corrective actions if required.
- Understanding the customer’s business strategy, opportunities, and issues. Identifying opportunities for Nexperia based on this and helping to tailor the Nexperia Value Propositions specifically for your customers.
- Understanding formal & informal hierarchy, identifying decision makers at customer, and establishing and developing suitable relationship strategies to improve Nexperia’s position at the account.
- Through thorough understanding of the balance of power and relationships, create and successfully execute suitable negotiation strategy and tactics in cooperation with the Global Key Account Director and Marketing Teams.
- Representing and conveying the customer needs internally and ensuring adequate priorities are set to execute against strategy.
- Effective monitoring of logistic/quality performance and, if required, delegation of issues to the relevant stakeholders within our organization.
- Ensuring that all key internal systems and processes are timely updated with accurate information.
- Consolidating the above in a Customer Business Plan clearly communicating expectation and requirements towards Nexperia to meet business targets.
- Gathering and communicating market/competitor information into the organization.
- Organizing technical workshops with customer and internal Business Review Meetings throughout the year.
What you will need
- University degree preferably in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years Sales / Marketing experience in Automotive environment with Tier 1 accounts or similar experience as Field Application Engineer, either in the semiconductor industry or in a related business.
- Detailed technical understanding of Automotive applications is a plus.
- Solid experience to promote standard-/commodity products.
- Entrepreneurial thinking, result oriented, customer focused.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills in German and English. Other languages are a plus.
- Team player with hands-on mentality.
- Proven track record in working in multicultural/international teams.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
