Your role

Are you trustworthy in driving the business forward and to make sure things run smoothly? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment? Are you incredibly organized with an eye for detail? We\’re looking for someone who can provide business-related services and support to:

1. Assist the Investment Bank Switzerland and Global Markets Switzerland COO team in run and change the bank activities.
2. Be a Switzerland regional SME business manager and develop cross product business manager skills over time.
3. Partner with business heads, COOs, and logistics and control functions to:

1. Ensure the IB / GM Switzerland businesses run smoothly by coordinating and owning run-the-bank tasks and controls.
2. Execute and organize key business initiatives.
3. Act as a sparring partner (who challenges, thinks strategically, and has commercial acumen) to help enable financial outcomes.
4. Implement, fine-tune, and execute the front office control framework.

You will be working in the IB/GM Switzerland regional COO team and will report to the Global Markets Switzerland COO. Our team focuses on ensuring that the business operates effectively and efficiently to manage risks, and is enabled to maximize profits while being compliant with regulations, policies and procedures.

Your expertise

1. Background or direct experience in the markets.
2. Knowledge of Global Markets products, front to back processes, and some experience in managing audit and regulatory matters.
3. Ability to communicate and work with stakeholders and team members across all areas of the bank and of various levels of seniority.
4. Ability to understand new issues and processes quickly and determine priorities and solutions based on business need and benefit.
5. Excellent analytical and presentation skills; proficiency in the standard office applications.
6. Comfortable working independently, as well as in a collaborative environment.
7. Strong focus, drive and commitment, and track record in getting jobs done on time and to a high standard (a commercial ‘can-do’ approach).
8. Able to remain calm under pressure and cope with difficult and changing scenarios i.e. be flexible.
9. Some leadership / management experience of team members.
10. A university degree.
11. Proficient in both spoken and written English; German is an advantage.
