Intro Green Energy Venture, part of oe energy, is a consulting and service company operating along the renewable energy value chain. We have been connecting technology and financial markets on three continents for over two decades. Our fields of expertise are Engineering, Transaction Management, TA (Technical Advisory) and high-level services, which are necessary for the realization of projects in renewable energies. We are currently moving more than 8 GW in our internal projects – from their development to grid connection along our core competencies. Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Head of Commerce and Market to lead the sales, marketing, and communication functions within our growing renewable energy business. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the renewable energy market, including photovoltaics (PV), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), wind energy, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and electric markets in Europe . The candidate must be fluent in German and English , with Swiss German highly preferred. This role will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive revenue growth, brand positioning, and market expansion. The Head of Commerce and Market will oversee and develop the commercial team, establish strong relationships with key clients, and develop marketing campaigns that effectively communicate the value of our renewable energy solutions. Tasks Sales Leadership: Commercial Sales Strategy Development: Lead the creation and execution of the company’s overall sales strategy, targeting growth in PV, BESS, wind energy, and PPAs. Revenue Targets: Set and achieve ambitious revenue and market share goals across Europe. Customer Acquisition & Retention: Identify new business opportunities, manage key accounts, and develop long-term client relationships. Sales Team Management: Build and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing clear targets, guidance, and training. Marketing & Communication: Brand Positioning: Develop and refine the company’s positioning in the renewable energy market, ensuring our brand resonates with target customers across Europe. Marketing Strategy: Design and oversee the implementation of multi-channel marketing campaigns to generate leads, increase brand awareness, and drive sales. Digital & Content Marketing: Manage digital marketing strategies, including SEO, PPC, and content creation to reach new audiences and promote our renewable energy solutions. External Communications: Oversee the company’s public relations, communication with external stakeholders, and participation in industry events and conferences. Market Intelligence: Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends, competitors, and regulatory developments in Europe. Business Development & Market Expansion: New Markets: Identify and develop strategies for entering new markets within the renewable energy sector, including PPAs and electric markets. Partnerships & Alliances: Build strategic alliances and partnerships with utilities, corporates, and other key players in the renewable energy market. Competitive Analysis: Continuously assess the competitive landscape and adjust the commercial strategy to ensure market leadership. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with project management, finance, and technical teams to ensure alignment of sales, marketing, and business development activities. Management Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on sales performance, marketing initiatives, and business development opportunities. Budgeting: Manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize return on investment. Requirements Completed master’s degree, or comparable qualification in the field of renewable energies, energy technology or equivalent 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or marketing within the renewable energy sector, with a proven track record in PV, BESS, wind energy, PPAs, or electric markets in Europe. At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing sales and marketing teams. Well seasoned experience in offering consulting and project management services to industry clients Strong understanding of the European renewable energy market, including key players, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics. In-depth knowledge of PV, BESS, wind energy, PPAs, and electricity markets. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse commercial team. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to develop and execute complex sales and marketing strategies. Proficiency in CRM systems, digital marketing tools, and analytics platforms. Ability to travel as required across Europe for client meetings, industry events, and project development. Experience working in cross-functional teams with technical, financial, and legal teams.
