Senior Analyst Asset Manager Selection 80-100%
Curious working in a stimulating and challenging environment of a multinational Swiss based company? We are looking for a talent with a positive can-do attitude who enjoys interacting with external asset managers (EAM) and internal stakeholders around the globe.
Zurich’s global balance sheet is in excess of 300 billion CHF and the majority of these assets are outsourced to EAM. Finding and engaging the best of breed EAM to manage Zurich’s investment portfolios is a key ingredient to Zurich’s financial result and differentiator of Zurich relative to its peers in the insurance industry.
The Head of Manager Selection is responsible for leading the process to select and de-select EAM on a global basis in long only equity, fixed income and private markets.
As Senior Analyst Asset Manager Selection, your role is to support the Head of Manager Selection in the entire process, lead searches, provide insights through analysis and monitor asset manager relationships. Does this sound appealing? Then we look forward to your application!
What you will do
- Lead and conduct global EAM searches: Searches at Zurich are a collaborative effort with the local business units (BUs). The individual will not only evaluate but also guide other colleagues from the BUs supporting the evaluation.
- Prepare the main decision documents and present findings to the manager selection committees (MSC).
- Work proactively with Group and other IM functions, as well as assisting local business units on various topics related to EAM.
- Independently operate the internally developed asset manager evaluation software (Themis).
What you bring
- Minimum requirement: Bachelor’s degree in sciences, finance, economics or business.
- Preferred requirement: MSc or MBA; CFA if only in possession of first (BSc) degree or if degree(s) is in sciences or fields not directly related to investments.
- 5 years of proven experience in the asset management industry, e.g. as bond or equity portfolio manager, asset and/or fund manager selection.
- Excellent analytical skills in finance and capital markets.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills in English. Good German language or other major language skills an advantage.
- Proficient use of main desktop computer applications and experienced Bloomberg user. Programming skills are preferable (R or Python).
- High degree of flexibility and commitment to deliver results.
