BESS Solutions Engineer

The Customised Energy Systems division focuses on providing Commercial & Industrial and large BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) storage systems based on Lithium-ion technologies. The division specialises in energy storage solutions for various applications, including renewable energy, time shift, self-consumption, frequency control, peak shaving, fast charging, and energy trading.

About the Job:

• Location: Germany (remote)
• Home Office: Offered with preferred region near Cologne, Düsseldorf, Aachen, or Essen.
• Travel Requirements: Regular travel to the R&D centre in the Netherlands and to customers.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first competent contact person for developing concepts for planning and realising projects.
• Support the sales department with technical issues during customer visits on site.
• Take full responsibility for entire project management, including coordination and organisation of associated project processes.
• Conduct progress meetings with customers and supervise installation and testing with acceptance of the electrical system.
• Assist in creating technical project specifications in collaboration with customers.

Qualifications:

• Completed technical apprenticeship and a master craftsman or technician qualification (specialising in electrical engineering or similar).
• Several years of relevant, practical project experience, ideally in the field of BESS.
• On-site project support, requiring travel (approx. 20%) and a valid class B driving license.
• Very good command of written and spoken German and English.
