Project Buyer (m/f/d)

Salary: €70, 000 – €85, 000

I\’m partnered with a market leading automotive tier-1 supplier based in Dortmund that is actively searching for a Project Buyer to join their procurement function. The organisation manufacturers products for commercial vehicles, heavy vehicles and racing vehicles. Responsibilities:

• Responsible for purchasing machined components, forged parts, casted parts, stamped parts, plastic injection components, service treatment etc.
• Working cross-functionally with other departments such as quality, logistics & production teams to ensure projects are completed on-time.
• Negotiate prices and contracts with local & global suppliers to secure the best deals.
• Developing cost studies to identify potential savings and implementing cost-saving plans into action.
• Create purchasing and project reports whilst keeping master data updated and regularly updating the purchasing management.

Experience Required:

• 4+ years of project purchasing experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry
• Bachelors degree
• Excellent understanding of procurement & supplier management
• Strong ability to stay organised, manage multiple tasks at once and pay close attention to details.
• Fluent English & German language
• Must be open to travel when required
