Lead Engineer Embedded Software (m/w/d)

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 6 engineers in developing and implementing complex embedded software solutions, focusing on SFOC projects for motor controls in power tools.
• Collaborate with the Chief Engineer for Embedded Software and other teams to enhance platforming initiatives and drive innovation.
• Manage multiple projects, including estimating, monitoring, and ensuring timely delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and collaborate with stakeholders to develop complex systems.
• Implement secure coding practices and approve design reviews to ensure quality.
• Develop and execute product and technology strategies to promote advanced technologies.
• Plan resources, develop personnel, and manage employee health and safety.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related; Master’s preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in Embedded Software development, with expertise in SFOC in power tools and team leadership.
• Proficiency in C/C++, experience with Git, Jira APIs, and errata sheets.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, object-oriented design, and innovation fostering.
• Knowledge of motor control, especially Sensorless Field Oriented Control, and cross-functional collaboration experience.
• Commitment to delivering secure, high-quality software.
