Tasks
- Being responsible for all aspects of the Cloud & Platform Operations team and managing the following processes/technology areas
- Cloud Infrastructure
- Enterprise Computing Infrastructure
- Enterprise Storage & Backup
- Database Management
- Providing technical, strategic and disciplinary guidance
- Overseeing the financial planning, licensing, and contract management
- Planning and coordinating the operation of the systems and all related tasks as well as defining and delegating work packages
- Cooperating with external partners, providers and suppliers
- Optimizing and evaluating modern technologies, solutions and products continuously
Requirements
- Profound knowledge of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) providers like AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud
- Profound knowledge of server virtualization with VMware and the operation of high availability clusters
- In-depth knowledge of backup solutions and solutions for DR
- Advanced knowledge in the area of mass storage systems and their operation through NetApp solutions such as SAN, NAS, DAS, Object Storage, RAID
- Knowledge about operating systems like Linux and Windows Server
- Familiarity with technologies that comprise corporate IT, IT Security/Firewall, DNS, DHCP, Directory Services/IAM, Network Switching and Routing
- Ability to lead a team of multiple IT specialists and to work in an international environment
- In-depth knowledge about the IT market, products and manufacturers
- Methodological knowledge in regards to project management and IT service management
- Strategic way of thinking
- Fluent written and spoken German and English language skills
- Certifications in the area of Cloud & Platform operations are a plus
