We seek a results-driven sales leader passionate about empowering others. As Public Sales Director, you\’ll lead a team of Account Executives, fostering a positive, inclusive environment. You should have strong relationships at the executive level, support sales presentations, and provide strategic direction to close business.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead and inspire a team of Public Sector Account Executives, embedding Pure Culture and Values.
• Hire and develop a diverse, talented team as business needs evolve.
• Support the extended team (SEs, Channel Managers, Inside Sales, etc.) in your district.
• Ensure team performance metrics like pipeline growth, partner alignment, and forecast accuracy are met, maintaining a 4X pipeline to goal.
• Build strong relationships with channel partners, distribution, GSI, and alliance leadership.
• Lead sales calls, model success, and ensure team goals are achieved or surpassed.
• Travel locally and internationally to foster relationships and growth.
• Drive business goals: bookings, new logos, and team participation.
• Review activities and pipelines regularly, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Use analytical skills to improve performance and results.
• Manage team performance, ensuring growth and development.

What You Bring To The Team

• 10+ years of successful field sales, with 5+ in sales management, especially in German Public Sector tech sales.
• Proven ability to sell to IT departments and management.
• Leadership passion, motivating and developing talent.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Track record in recruitment and fostering an inclusive environment.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven.
• Problem-solving skills for analyzing situations and finding solutions.
• Experience with CRM and online sales tools.
• University degree required.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and verbal.
• This role is primarily in-office in Munich, in line with Pure Storage policies, unless on PTO, travel, or approved leave.
