We are seeking a Legal Trainee (Rechtsreferendar) to support our in-house legal team, either during your elective stage (Wahlstation) of your German legal clerkship or part-time alongside it. This role offers hands-on experience in diverse legal matters, focusing on data privacy and compliance, providing valuable insight into the legal operations of a high-growth, global company.
Responsibilities
- Regulatory and Compliance: Assist with GDPR and privacy law matters, support internal compliance and corporate governance.
- Contract Support: Review and coordinate contracts such as NDAs, SaaS agreements, vendor contracts, and lease agreements; maintain contract databases and templates.
- Process Improvement: Develop knowledge of internal databases, improve legal team efficiency through systems management, and support process development for scalability.
- Administrative and Project Support: Provide administrative assistance and contribute to special projects as needed.
Candidate Profile
- Achieved above-average results in your first German state exam (1. Staatsexamen).
- Interest or background in data protection, privacy law, or IT law.
- Analytical mindset with strong critical thinking skills.
- Meticulous, vigilant, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Positive attitude, good judgment, ability to manage priorities, and autonomous working style.
- Fluent in German and English.
