Platform Team Leader - Software (m/f/d)

We’re looking for an experienced Platform Team Leader – Software (m/f/d) to join one of our clients and lead its Engineering strategies. In your day-to-day work, you’ll focus on streamlining the deployment, testing, and production-readiness of our autonomous robotic systems and have the opportunity to contribute to various projects that bridge the gap between software, operations, and end users.

This is a shaping role in a pioneering German dual- use technology company that develops unmanned ground vehicles for both defence and commercial applications. You’ll be working with a highly innovative, international, and dynamic team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of automation and robotics, with a clear emphasis on operational resilience and modernisation.

In this role, you’ll:

• Act as the subject matter expert on radio communications, including setup, configuration, and best practices within our robotic platforms
• Define and document deployment procedures to ensure seamless operation and integration for both teams and customers
• Serve as the key technical liaison between the software engineering team and customer-facing teams, translating field feedback into technical improvements
• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers specializing in testing, cybersecurity, DevOps, and production
• Oversee the bring-up and production-readiness of our robots in close coordination with hardware and software teams
• Continuously improve the processes and tools required for scaling production of our autonomous systems
• Drive and coordinate certification efforts to meet cybersecurity and quality compliance standards
• Ensure the overall platform meets both internal and external regulatory requirements

Your Profile

• Solidbackgroundinfieldrobotics,defence,orcriticalinfrastructuresystemswithpracticaldeploymentexperienceinproductionenvironments.
• ProvenprogrammingskillsinC++andexperiencewithROS,alongwithfamiliaritywithcertificationprocesses.
• Provenexperienceinleadingtechnicalteamsinrobotics,embeddedsystems,orcomplexmechatronicenvironments.
• Extensive knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, serial, and wireless, as well as LTE/4G/5G, Starlink, tactical radios, and secure networking (VPNs).
• ProficiencyinLinuxenvironments,includingusingcommand-linetoolsforsystemdeployment,monitoring,anddebugging.
• Excellentorganisationalandcommunicationskillstoworkeffectivelywithcross-functionalteams.

Please note that we are looking for support in theMunich office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
