The Spare Parts Manager defines and manages, from a technical and commercial perspective, the spare parts to be offered for G+D developed or branded products and spare part packages over their lifecycle. He/she contributes to the Service Product Management, PEP (Produkt-Entstehungs-Prozess), and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) by providing all spare part-related aspects from product development through launch until end of support, proactively. This ensures synchronization of parts selling strategy with service and product strategy.
Your role :
- Responsibility for end-to-end spare part management over the entire product lifecycle, including offering guidelines, workflow, and process governance.
- Conduct initial and continuous updates of spare parts pricing and definitions.
- Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive pricing strategy for spare parts.
- Evaluate existing spare parts pricing and offering methodologies and processes; provide recommendations for improvements for on-demand business and spare parts within service contracts.
- Allocate critical spare parts based on business requirements.
- Support internal departments in spare parts pricing and offering matters.
- Define and maintain a comprehensive catalogue of spare parts.
- Generate regular reports and analyze trends, opportunities, and challenges, recommending actionable steps.
- Steer the global spare parts management network.
Requirements :
- University degree (e.g., bachelor, master, MBA) in engineering, science, or business.
- At least 3 years of experience in pricing and product business development.
- Experience working in international matrix organizations and collaborating with subsidiaries.
- Broad and deep skillset in related service areas.
- Knowledge of CTCS controlling methods, including product hierarchy.
- Deep knowledge in data analytics, KPI definition, and performance management.
- Profound knowledge of profitability calculations.
- High level of intercultural competencies and teamwork.
- Strong coordination, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in English and German.
- Independent and structured working manners.
- Availability for national and internal travels.
