What will a day in your life in this role look like?

For this opportunity, we are seeking a person with a strong technical background, leadership skills, and experience in organizing and mentoring others. Your responsibilities include:

• Responsibility over all development teams.
• Collaborating and mentoring Technical Leads and Studio Principal Engineer.
• Overseeing and providing guidance for each project’s technical direction.
• Implementing processes to identify potential technical risks within projects.
• Providing full support to teams when technical challenges are encountered.
• Creating and overseeing high-level KPIs within the technical department.
• Implementing processes to ensure vertical and horizontal growth of the team.
• Directing studio technology for tools and cross-project reusable systems.
• Partnering with production to remove blockers and ensure goals are achieved.
• Making decisions with management for acquisition and usage of third-party solutions.
• Directing DevOps leadership based on the studio technical vision.
• Coordinating with IT on areas affecting technical direction and decisions.

We would love it if you have these skills:

• Developed and released multiple games in a similar role.
• One significant release in the last years, preferably on PC and Console.
• Strong understanding of the video games market and current trends.
• Deep experience with game engines.
• Performance optimization experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to self-manage, demonstrating initiative and accountability.
• Comfortable in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Deep experience of being a strategic problem-solver.
• Exhibit strong business judgment to guide technology-related decisions that align with the company’s long-term strategy.
• Proven experience hiring and mentoring a strong engineering team.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Passion for creating video games!

We will love it if you have experience with:

• Unreal Engine (preferably 5).
• Extensive experience with programming languages (preferably C++).
• PS5 & Xbox Series S|X experience.
• Experience with automation and tooling.
• Experience with build and deployment systems (preferably UE build tools).
• Operating System administration experience.
• Network/Service programming expertise.
