Senior Signalling Configuration Engineer

Responsibilities
- Lead review and analysis of configuration requirements and gap assessments, ensuring compliance with traceability methods.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of subsystem configurations, including documentation creation, verification, and control.
- Handle configuration data, documentation, and executable files in line with quality standards and control practices.
- Evaluate and improve configuration workflows to enhance efficiency.
- Address validation and onsite testing feedback, integrating lessons learned into future strategies.
- Maintain a lessons-learned database, documenting issues, limitations, and corrective actions.
- Ensure timely delivery of configured executable files for validation and testing.
- Contribute to defining and refining requirements for configuration and design tools.
Technical Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Engineering, or IT.
- 5-10 years of experience in signalling configuration within railway projects.
- Proficiency in German and English (C1 level or higher).
- Knowledge of German railway signalling and control systems.
- Experience managing configuration lifecycles and documentation in safety-critical environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
Desired Skills and Knowledge
- Experience with Interlocking (IXL) systems and ETCS.
- Familiarity with railway signalling configuration management tools and practices.
- Skills in requirements analysis, traceability, and gap analysis.
- Ability to manage subsystem configurations and documentation.
- Knowledge of validation, testing, and integration activities.
- Excellent communication skills for defining tool and configuration requirements.
