Category Manager – Vehicle Electronics (f/m/d)

We are looking for a Category Manager (f/m/d) at our Office in Ratingen – join our team now!

You will be part of our Aftermarket Department and responsible for leading one of our Product Management Teams, as well as optimizing product categories and profitability.

Your Scope:

• You will assume professional and disciplinary leadership of the Product Management team , fostering a collaborative work environment , and aligning with company objectives.
• A key responsibility will be the continuous analysis of market trends, competitive activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for category expansion and optimization.
• You will develop and implement category strategies to drive revenue growth, improve margins, and optimize the product portfolio in line with market trends and customer needs.
• Monitoring and reporting on category performance using relevant data for data-driven decision-making, defining KPIs, and conducting performance reviews in sales will be part of your duties.
• You will be responsible for product selection, lifecycle management, and product quality , as well as creating sales forecasts and ensuring an optimal product mix to maximize profitability.

What you should bring to the table:

• You hold a Bachelor\’s or Master\’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Engineering .
• You bring at least 5 years of relevant experience in Category Management, Product Management, Project Management, or similar roles, ideally within the Automotive Aftermarket.
• Initial experience in leading and mentoring small teams is advantageous.
• You should possess strong knowledge of the Automotive Aftermarket , including market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
• Since our team primarily communicates in English, proficiency at C1 level or higher is required, along with strong English communication skills for effective interaction at all organizational levels, with customers, and suppliers.
• You have advanced Excel skills and preferably experience with reporting tools like Tableau for data analysis and visualization.
• You are capable of analyzing market data, sales trends, and performance metrics to develop and implement successful strategies.
