Qualifications and Experience
- Over 6 years of experience in Cloud / Data Engineering (AWS or Azure)
- Experience managing projects and hands-on implementation of Cloud/Data Engineering projects
- Excellent programming skills (e.g., Java, Python, Spark; object-oriented). Additional languages are a plus
- Strong technical skills in emerging data technologies, especially in Azure big data areas
- Knowledge of best practices in designing and setting up data platforms via Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including security requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Information Management, or a related field
- Azure certifications (e.g., Associate, Professional) or proven project delivery experience in Azure
- Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 30%)
- Fluent in German and English (speaking and writing)
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ability to land and expand business opportunities
- Coaching and mentoring skills
- Experience in lead roles (e.g., IT-Architect, Tech Lead, Principal Consultant) in data-driven IT projects focused on Azure cloud engineering, including project management and implementation, and building strong customer relationships
- Ability to identify opportunities and risks, and create new roles within projects
- Strong communication and persuasion skills for engaging customers
- Collaborate with tech partners to grow Azure partnerships
- Analytical thinking to optimize internal processes
- Coaching practice members and driving the success of the Azure team at synvert Data Insights
- Collaborate within the synvert group on cloud topics
