Vetera, as part of the Nordhealth product family, has been established as the leading veterinary practice management software provider in the DACH region. Vetera products are currently serving more than 2,000 veterinary practices, clinics, and partners throughout Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Our goal is to make everyday practice and clinic work efficient in times of increasing digitization, to enable veterinarians to communicate with their customers in multiple ways, and at the same time to enable optimum animal welfare.
About the role
We are looking for a Business Director to oversee our operations in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all departments within the company including P&L responsibility and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the business.
Your key responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement strategic plans that align with Nordhealth objectives.
- Ensure the company meets its revenue targets and maintains profitability.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and areas for improvement.
Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations of the company in the DACH region, ensuring all departments (Sales, Customer Service, Development, Implementation and Key Account Management) are effectively managed and aligned with company goals.
- Coordinate cross-departmental projects to ensure timely and successful delivery of products and services.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
Customer Satisfaction:
- Develop and implement customer satisfaction strategies to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and loyalty.
- Address customer concerns and feedback promptly and effectively.
Analyze customer satisfaction data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Key Account Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with key accounts to ensure satisfaction and address any issues or concerns.
- Develop and execute strategies for managing and growing key accounts.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the DACH region.
- Manage key leads and ensure a steady pipeline of potential clients.
- Work closely with the sales and marketing team to develop and execute effective business development strategies.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate teams to achieve organizational goals, providing guidance and support to department heads.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to improve profitability.

Ideally, you have already gained experience from working in a fast growing, global SaaS company. In essence, we’re looking for a true people leader with skills and aptitude to uphold a great working environment in our office in Eltville while also taking care of the remote teams and collaborating closely with other departments within Nordhealth.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Proven experience in a senior management role, preferably within the software or veterinary industry.
