Role accountabilities:

• Develop budget estimates and cost plans, from feasibility studies to detailed reviews.
• Analyze cost forecasts, variances, and risks, and develop measures to achieve cost savings.
• Prepare bills of quantities, assist with pricing, and draft tender documents.
• Evaluate and manage change orders after the project starts, including monthly reviews.
• Handle post-contract tasks such as reviewing contracts, processing payments, assessing changes, and preparing cost control reports.
• Prepare financial progress reports, cost analysis, and recommendations for management.
• Build and maintain a comprehensive cost database and library.
• Attend meetings with clients, planning teams, and site teams to ensure collaboration and alignment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor\’s, Master\’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in cost control and financial management of construction projects, ideally with a focus on Data Centers (desirable) or other large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Negotiation skills, analytical abilities, and a strong understanding of financial aspects of construction projects.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Proficiency in cost management software and MS Excel, as well as MS Project and similar programs.
• Fluency in English is essential; fluency in German is advantageous.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions and requirements, especially market and client demands.
• Proficiency in working with AHO, HOAI, and VOB.
• Experience with international models such as EPCM, FIDIC, among others (preferred).
• Willingness to travel regularly within Germany and abroad for project needs.
