Senior Systems Engineer - IT Infrastructure

Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our client\’s team.

You will work with a dynamic team of system engineers responsible for design decisions and implementation across all areas of systems architecture, engineering, and technical direction for multiple projects in OCONUS operations. Responsibilities include designing the architectural framework for large, complex, resilient systems and formulating high-level architectural solutions to meet stakeholder needs, standards, and performance requirements. You will communicate designs and solutions to the technical team and end-customer stakeholders, gather technical requirements, architect solutions, and execute deliverables. You will provide multi-tenant, multi-cloud, cloud, and on-premises IT infrastructure solutions to ensure the success of multiple customers across various programs.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with analysis, evaluation, engineering, and implementation of system improvements, optimization, and deployments.
2. Develop and implement technology and solution roadmaps aligned with customer strategic goals and mission priorities.
3. Design large, complex multi-site data center infrastructure and virtualized environment solutions.
4. Document designs and changes, including physical/logical drawings, engineering plans, implementation, transition, test, and failover plans.
5. Implement, test, and operate large, complex data center and virtualized compute, storage, and network environments.
6. Research, prototype, and develop emerging technologies by collaborating with industry partners and OEMs to meet emerging customer needs.

Required Experience:

1. Must be eligible for a government security investigation; U.S. Citizenship required; DoD Secret clearance or higher.
2. Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of experience or Master’s Degree with 5+ years of experience.
3. Experience developing hardware and software solutions for data center and virtual infrastructure technologies.

• Active Directory, Group Policy
• Microsoft SCCM with OSD
• Data center networking fundamentals; experience with software-defined networks is a plus
• Data center storage fundamentals; experience with SAN and NAS protocols
• Virtualization of enterprise applications (Active Directory, MS SQL, RHEL, SharePoint, etc.)
• Developing secure and reliable solutions complying with cybersecurity standards
• Data Center Automation, IaaS, API management, scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, JSON, Bash)

Security Clearance:

Secret clearance required.
