Your responsibilities

• Secure customs clearance before goods receipt to enable on-time material provision to production.
• Support and consult internal business areas and projects on customs affairs.
• Conduct customs trainings and promote awareness across the company.
• Define requirements for suppliers and participate in negotiations.
• Set up systems and processes to optimize customs and import duties, minimizing risks while considering local specifics.
• Build strong relationships with customs authorities and internal stakeholders.
• Create customs declarations for imports and exports and manage customs clearance.
• Support outbound logistics activities, including dispatch and transport.
• Ensure a compliant inbound and outbound customs process in collaboration with stakeholders and authorities.

Your profile

• Completed logistics-related apprenticeship or degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in customs processes and regulations.
• Strong operational and technical skills in customs.
• Familiarity with domestic and international geography, including countries and major cities.
• Profound knowledge of logistics and supply chain management.
• Thorough understanding of origin and value provisions, customs laws, and export documents (CvO, EUR1, ATR).
• Experience drafting electronic transport declarations for imports and exports, including preferential arrangements.
• Experience with HTS classification.
• Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
• English proficiency C1, German B2 required.
• IT Skills: MS Office, ERP/WMS systems, ATLAS.
• Customs Broker’s License is a plus.
• Experience in export control and compliance is beneficial.
• Ownership mindset and ability to implement improvement ideas.
• Team player with analytical skills and high customer focus.
