We are looking for a new member of the HR Team in Germany, a Manager in Employee & Labor Relations.

The ERLR Manager is responsible for the effective management of Employee Relations matters in Germany and potentially some other EMEA countries. Success is measured by the resolution of service requests within defined timeframes, accuracy and quality standards, and customer satisfaction levels.

This role will lead relationships with our two established Works Councils in Neuss (Corporate & Commercial organization) and Wuppertal (Production site for o.b.) and partner closely with local HR Business Partners and business leaders to provide Labor Relations advice and support, including CBA interpretation, administration, negotiation, and LR procedures.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure timely and compliant handling of all requests.
  • Coach & train managers and employees.
  • Provide input and guidance on Labor Relations Strategy, including preparation & negotiation of collective bargaining agreements within agreed parameters, and lead negotiations as the company\’s representative.
  • Coordinate and administer consultations and information sharing with local unions and Works Council members.
  • Address complex local questions regarding benefits and leaves; assist with enrollment processes.
  • Oversee local work related to benefits and compensation, partnering with the Regional Total Rewards Lead to ensure standard processes are followed.
  • Ensure workplace policies are updated and compliant with applicable local laws.
  • Maintain stakeholder management and continuous communication with local HR Leaders, summarizing and reporting operational updates and issues.
  • Stay informed on country employment and labor practices.
  • Maintain standards for a confidential and sensitive work environment.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; a master’s degree in law is preferred.
  • 6–8 years of HR experience focusing on Employee & Labor Relations or HR Generalist roles.
  • Knowledge of local employment laws and practices, with the ability to handle issues independently or under supervision for complex issues.
  • Experience in Labor Relations laws and practices, capable of leading negotiations autonomously.
  • Strong influencing, coaching, and consulting skills with people leaders and works councils, demonstrated through professional and decisive communication.
  • Customer-oriented with excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Enthusiastic team player with a drive to foster a positive work environment and the ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities independently.
  • Negotiation and consultative skills.
