Your role
As a System Engineer for Battery Management Systems (BMS), you will be instrumental in the design, development, and integration of advanced BMS solutions tailored for automotive applications. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, focusing on the technical aspects of BMS projects, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products that meet industry standards and customer expectations.
Your future tasks at a glance
- Technical Expertise:
- Participate in the design, architecture, and validation of BMS platforms, ensuring compliance with automotive safety, performance, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop advanced algorithms and methodologies for state-of-the-art battery monitoring, control, and diagnostics.
- Conduct simulations, modeling, and validation to support the development of reliable and high-performance BMS solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and testing engineering teams to integrate BMS solutions seamlessly into vehicle platforms.
- Work closely with product management, marketing, and sales teams to understand customer needs and market trends, translating them into technical requirements.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Support the establishment and enforcement of rigorous quality assurance processes and standards throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring reliability, safety, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, performance, and manufacturability.
- Team Support and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with senior engineers and provide support to junior team members, contributing to fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
What you bring with you
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Industry experience in systems engineering, preferably within the automotive sector or related industry, with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of battery systems and their electronic management systems, including system architecture and design principles, algorithm development, and validation.
- Proficiency in automotive electrical systems, communication protocols (like CAN, TCP/IP, automotive ethernet), and familiarity with automotive standards (like ISO 26262, ISO 21434, or ASPICE).
- Experience with requirements management tools and methodologies, ensuring thorough documentation, traceability, and validation of system requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
