Job Description
Experimental research on vacuolar cation channels and calcium signalling, focusing on allelic variation of vacuolar cation channels, ion homeostasis, and calcium signalling in plants.
Qualifications
- An excellent MSc degree (or equivalent) in biochemistry, biology, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest and fascination for in vivo imaging techniques and calcium signalling in plants.
- Excellent English language skills (written and spoken).
- High motivation to work cooperatively within the CRC.
Responsibilities
- Conduct experimental research within the SNP2Prot subproject B03 focusing on allelic variation of a vacuolar cation channel.
- Perform in vivo imaging of calcium and calcium decoding using fluorescence reporters.
- Identify interaction partners and analyze phosphorylation of a cation channel by mass spectrometry.
- Express, purify, and measure the activity of enzymes.
- Present and publish scientific data.
- Opportunity to obtain an academic qualification as part of a doctorate.
