Design Engineer - Special Mission Aircraft (f/m/x)

Responsibilities

1. Design of mechanical components (3D & 2D)
2. Design of CFRP, GFRP, metal parts (3D & 2D)
3. Design of positive and negative moulds (CFRP/GFRP), including layup plans
4. Design of part drawings and assembly drawings etc.
5. Preparation & administration of certification documentation and manuals
6. Integration studies according to installation limitations (positioning of components, weight calculation, power consumption)
7. Support Design of electric system layout, wiring schematics, harness drawings
8. Support Equipment Tests on ground and in flight
9. Cooperation with other departments within Diamond Aircraft

Skills

1. Technical school (HTL) in relevant field
2. 2 years of work experience – an advantage
3. Sound knowledge in working with 3D CAD programs (CATIA V5; Solid Edge ST6)/2024 – an advantage
4. English and German (spoken and written)
5. Structured, reliable team player with ability to work autonomously
6. Profound knowledge of MS Office
