Job Description

Job Title: WebSphere Technical Lead

Duration: Contract to Hire

Location: Schaumburg, IL, Minneapolis, MN, or Somerset, NJ

Experience: 7+ Years

What you will do

1. Full lifecycle application development
2. Design, code and debug software
3. Perform software analysis, risk analysis, reliability analysis
4. Participate in software modeling and simulation
5. Integrate new software solutions with existing systems
6. Extract and reverse engineer existing code

Technical Skills

1. 7 years of experience with Core Java/J2EE and related technologies
2. Experience with WebSphere Portal
3. Experience with WebServices
4. Experience with iBatis, Spring, JSP, SQL

Non-technical Skills

1. Self-starter with demonstrated initiative
2. Able to proactively identify issues/opportunities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

Additional Information

Required Skills:

1. Performs highly complex application programming/systems development and support
2. Performs highly complex configuration of business rules and technical parameters of software products
3. Review business requirements and develop application design documentation
4. Build technical components (Maximo objects, TRM Rules, Java extensions, etc.) based on detailed design
5. Performs unit testing of components along with completing necessary documentation
6. Supports product test, user acceptance test, etc. as a member of the fix-it team
7. Employs consistent measurement techniques
8. Include testing in project plans and establish controls to require adherence to test plans
9. Manages the interrelationships among various projects or work objectives
