Job Title: Active Directory Consultant

Total Experience Required: 10+ Information Technology/Computers/Software

Relevant Experience Required: 8+ years in Active Directory

Job Type: Contract

Contract Duration: Minimum 6 months, extendable up to 18 months based on project needs

Visa/Work Authorization Status: Candidates must hold a valid work permit or visa to work in Germany

Workplace Type: Hybrid (at least 2 times a week at office)

Languages Required: English, German is a plus

Work Location: Germany

1. Must be currently based Germany, or
2. Willing to relocate to Germany from anywhere within Europe or the UK

We are seeking an experienced Active Directory (L3) Consultant for a contract role based in Germany. This position requires deep technical expertise in Active Directory, infrastructure integration, and security best practices. The consultant will lead configuration, management, and support efforts for a large-scale AD environment, ensuring seamless performance and compliance across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Active Directory services, including DNS, DHCP, and domain infrastructure
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
• Troubleshoot AD authentication, replication, and performance issues
• Implement and enforce security policies, compliance controls, and monitoring within the AD ecosystem
• Integrate AD with Azure AD, third-party applications, ADFS, and directory-based identity solutions

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory and related technologies
• Expertise in DNS, DHCP, Kerberos, NTLM, and authentication protocols
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and AD management
• Deep understanding of AD security, GPO configuration, and certificate services
• Proven troubleshooting and incident resolution capabilities in complex environments

Optional Skills

• Experience integrating Azure Active Directory and managing hybrid environments
• Familiarity with AD CS and ADFS implementation
• Microsoft certifications such as MCSE or equivalent
• Background in large-scale infrastructure projects or cloud migration
• Exposure to LDAP-based integration with enterprise systems
