SAP - Finance Application Manager

As the SAP Application Manager for Finance , you will play a critical role in designing and delivering SAP solutions that support our finance operations across the marketing and sales of mineral oil products. You will be the functional architect for SAP FI/CO/FSCM, responsible for shaping technical solutions, ensuring system integration, and leading cross-functional collaboration to support our digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the SAP FI/CO/FSCM Architect and Application Owner, overseeing the functional design and technical implementation, including third-party integrations.
• Take full ownership of SAP projects and system maintenance within your area, following the "you build it, you run it" philosophy.
• Collaborate closely with key business users, understanding functional requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
• Manage the full lifecycle of SAP applications within the finance domain, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance.
• Lead and coordinate third-party SAP service teams to deliver solutions on time and within scope.
• Guarantee that new software and integrations meet business needs, compliance standards, and technical specifications.
• Oversee the IT budget related to your SAP domain, including licensing.
• Maintain accurate documentation of the SAP landscape and architecture in your area of responsibility.

Your Profile:

• Degree in IT, Business Informatics, or comparable professional experience.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in SAP implementation and application support.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with S/4HANA .
• Strong expertise in SAP FI (Financial Accounting), CO (Controlling), and FSCM (Financial Supply Chain Management), with integration knowledge of MM, SD, LE, and OpenText VIM.
• Experience or familiarity with SAP IS-OIL Downstream (Oil & Gas) is a significant advantage.
• Understanding of OpenText Vendor Invoice Management architecture is a plus.
• Basic ABAP skills and debugging capability are appreciated.
• Experience with managing offshore SAP delivery teams is a plus.
• Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2) are valued.
• Fluent English required; German language skills are a strong advantage .
