Corporate Sustainability & ESG Manager (m/f/x)
The position:
We are seeking a forward-thinking and quality-driven individual to support our sustainability department at a European level. Your main responsibilities will include implementing and expanding ESG projects to achieve the company\’s global sustainability vision. This cross-functional role requires collaboration across various functions in Europe and globally. Reporting to the Director of Sustainability, your primary tasks will include implementing CSRD and EU Taxonomy requirements, along with other sustainability-related projects.

Role & responsibilities:
- Support and lead various sustainability projects across all three ESG areas: environment, social/employees, and compliance with upcoming sustainability requirements.
- Create strategic roadmaps, implement requirements, and establish internal structures and processes, especially related to EU sustainability reporting (CSRD, Taxonomy).
- Conduct benchmarks, evaluate results, and identify actions and emerging trends.
- Identify issues proactively and seek creative solutions.
- Collaborate across functions and regions, aligning ESG projects and initiatives.
- Contribute innovative ideas to advance sustainability efforts.
- Work within a virtual matrix organization with diverse stakeholders at local, regional, and global levels.
Professional experience & education:
- University degree (Master or diploma) in sustainability, business administration, social sciences, or related fields.
- 5-6 years of professional experience in sustainability and ESG management, with a strong understanding of current and upcoming requirements.
- Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks, especially CSRD and EU Taxonomy.
- Strong strategic, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills, ideally in an international environment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, structured work approach, initiative, and service orientation.
- Team-oriented, responsible, committed, and willing to travel occasionally.
- Willingness to learn and tackle new challenges proactively.
- Excellent communication skills, proficiency in English; German and/or Japanese skills are advantageous.
