Senior Designer (m/f/d) in CMF (color, material, finish) design

We are looking for a Leather Designer (m/f/d) in Mülheim an der Ruhr or the Stuttgart area , Germany.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Work closely with color & trim designers from various OEMs.
• Understand customer requirements and translate them into new leather products.
• Develop holistic leather design concepts, including color and enrichments (perforation, embossing, embroidery, quilting, printing, etc.).
• Translate design concepts into production-ready drawings.
• Conduct trend research and develop global design and trend presentations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to initiate and develop high-quality leather products.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\’s degree in CMF design, industrial design, graphic design, textile design, or related field.
• At least 8-10 years of professional design experience, preferably in mobility design.
• Strong skills in materials and color integration, with the ability to identify subtle color nuances.
• Creative and trend-aware, with good knowledge of consumer preferences.
• Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator; excellent presentation skills.
• Experience working in international environments.
• Organized, self-managed, and passionate about design.
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented work approach.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
