We are seeking a strong technology leader based in the DACH region to oversee the successful delivery of outcomes specific to this market. This role will manage multiple software engineering and infrastructure teams, requiring a broad, interdisciplinary background to lead across diverse technical domains.
This role is hybrid (3 days in the office).
Requirements:
- Overall end-to-end ownership for the Technology Function in DACH.
- Partner with project leads and stakeholders to define, track, and manage projects ensuring delivery within budget and timelines.
- Develop strategies for modernizing markets, including product, resourcing, and back-office processes.
- Create vendor and location strategies, utilizing Technology centers and local resources.
- Ensure SLAs, metrics, and continuous improvement measures are in place and demonstrable.
- Manage the market\’s Tech budget, proactively challenging and managing costs and timelines to mitigate delays and find efficiencies.
- Identify dependencies, risks, and issues, and ensure mitigation plans are in place.
- Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports to highlight progress, risks, and ensure alignment across Technology.
- Collaborate with regional representatives from global teams for an effective cross-functional approach.
- Serve as the key link between the Technology delivery team and the business to align requirements and timelines.
- Coach and develop project teams for successful implementation.
- Communicate updates to stakeholders effectively and timely.
Key attributes:
- Proven track record leading major Technology programs as a senior project manager or director.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with experience managing complex projects and suppliers.
- Solid Technology background with knowledge of agile practices, large-scale data platforms (GCP, AWS), Java, .Net, and Database technologies.
- Ability to define and implement KPIs around quality, efficiency, and delivery for large distributed Scrum teams.
- Exceptional multi-tasker, strategic and tactical thinker.
- Ability to prioritize and adapt while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Strong relationship management skills, capable of building effective working relationships and collaborating across teams.
- Understanding of data legislation and privacy compliance across Europe.
Skills:
- 10+ years of leadership experience in critical domains or programs.
- Extensive project management skills focused on business-centric projects.
- Ability to develop governance methodologies integral to successful program execution.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse leaders, managers, and experts.
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Effective presentation and reporting skills.
- High-quality documentation skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize competing requirements.
- Strong organizational, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Technical aptitude with Microsoft Office, Atlassian tools, Java, and/or .Net.
- Familiarity with industry standards for software development.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Experience managing cross-border teams.
