The IT Infrastructure Operations department has overall responsibility for all IT services in production, including day-to-day operations, improvements, and lifecycle management. We strive for operational excellence by fostering a culture based on competency, collaboration, and people development.
We are now looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen our department as part of the Application and Middleware team. You will work in a dynamic and self-driven environment, collaborating with Developers, Infrastructure Engineers, and Business representatives. The position will be part of a Trading & Risk Software Product Team and report to the Manager of Application and Middleware in Infrastructure Operations. In this role, you will:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Infrastructure for Trading & Risk Business Applications running on Linux with Oracle Databases.
- Optimize application and infrastructure performance, scalability, and security across various platforms and technologies.
- Analyze, review, and identify potential improvements and modernization opportunities in existing environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on dependencies and integrations with other Business Applications.
- Participate in cross-departmental initiatives focused on Cloud Infrastructure.
- Stay updated with industry trends and propose process improvements for infrastructure operations.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Several years of experience in Application Infrastructure operations and engineering, with a strong understanding of operating models and operational excellence.
- Extensive Linux expertise and Oracle knowledge.
- Broad IT Infrastructure competency.
- Knowledge of Cloud Technologies, especially Azure.
- Scripting and automation skills.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of Trading & Risk Software (especially Murex) is advantageous.
- Experience in the Energy Industry is a plus.
- Relevant cloud certifications are beneficial.
