Job Description
As a Junior Plant Engineer (all genders), you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the technologies and operations within GE Grid Solutions, specifically in High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) and Alternating Current Systems (ACS). You will be assigned to the Control and Protection Department, engaging with cutting-edge technologies and applying your expertise to real-life projects, either in research and development (R&D) or project execution.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and layout high-voltage (HV) substations, ensuring their reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform 3D modeling, layout drawings, and architectural design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support project and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation and review of technical project documentation.
- Conduct electrical calculations to support system design and performance analysis.
Key Required Qualifications
- Master\’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong technical understanding of electrical hardware engineering principles.
- Ability to think innovatively and apply engineering knowledge in practical applications.
- Eagerness to learn, inquisitive mindset, and willingness to share knowledge.
- Proficiency in engineering software/tools such as AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM, MS Office, and Windows.
- Fluency in English; a minimum B2 level in German (written and spoken) is mandatory.
Additional Information
This position is well-suited for recent graduates holding a Master\’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Candidates should have experience in 3D modeling and layout design and have completed coursework related to HVDC systems.
