GSA Commercial EHS Manager (m/f/d)

Summary:

We are recruiting for a Commercial EHS Manager (m/f/d) within the Stryker GSA region. We seek a leader who can oversee hands-on activities, drive strategic objectives, and manage the entire EHS function across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

The Commercial EHS Manager (m/f/d) will provide EHS leadership and direction, responsible for implementing the commercial EHS program for the workforce, including office, warehouse, kitting/distribution, and remote/field employees.

The role involves leading, driving, inspecting, and evaluating the EHS system, with a focus on continuous improvement.

What you will do:

• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of site operations, processes, and key risks, ensuring they are well-understood and mitigated through the site Management System and action plans.
• Positively influence Commercial Leadership and stakeholders.
• Implement, develop, and lead EHS initiatives within the GSA Commercial Business.
• Develop policies, procedures, and assessments to ensure a local EHS management system that reduces risk.
• Deploy and monitor global EHS strategic goals across the GSA Commercial Business.
• Ensure the implementation, updating, review, and auditing of company\’s EHS systems and processes in accordance with corporate guidelines.
• Maintain safety equipment inventory, perform safety inspections, monitor hazardous waste vendors, and assist in waste consolidation.
• Interact with various departments and conduct training as needed.
• Monitor environmental compliance and liaise with regulatory agencies.
• Recommend corrective actions for environmental health and safety improvements.
• Lead incident investigations, analyze statistics, identify trends, and suggest improvements.
• Present findings to leadership teams with compelling evidence supporting recommendations.
• Conduct safety audits internally and externally.
• Provide safety support and advice, including supervision of plans and procedures for contract start-up activities.

What you need:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Experience supporting a Radiation Safety Program.
• 6+ years of EHS experience in a commercial/MedTech environment. Industry certifications like NOBOSH, ASP, CSP, CHMM are a plus.
• Knowledge of EHS regulations and experience working with regulatory agencies.
• Ability to work under pressure, make decisions with incomplete or conflicting data, applying sound judgment.
• Proficiency with MS Office programs, with the ability to analyze and summarize data for strategic planning.
• Ability to communicate effectively across organizational levels and work independently or in teams.
• Experience collecting and analyzing data using various platforms.
• Ability to develop and implement EHS programs and conduct assessments.
