Database Developer (Oracle SQL) - Hannover

As they continue to grow and innovate, they\’re looking for a skilled Database Developer with a strong background in Oracle SQL to join their technology team . This is an exciting opportunity to work on data-driven projects that support the development of critical systems, enabling the company to offer better services to its customers.

What You\’ll Be Doing:

Designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle SQL scripts, stored procedures, and database objects to support core business applications within the insurance sector

Optimising database performance and ensuring data integrity and scalability for critical systems used by internal teams and customers

Supporting the integration of various data sources and ensuring smooth data flow across platforms and systems

Collaborating with cross-functional teams (development, business analysts, and operations) to gather requirements and implement effective database solutions

Working on data migration and database upgrade projects to enhance the company\’s infrastructure

Troubleshooting database issues and proactively identifying opportunities for performance enhancements

What You Bring:

Strong experience in Oracle SQL development, including stored procedures, triggers, views, and performance tuning

Familiarity with PL/SQL and best practices in data modelling and database architecture

Experience working with insurance systems or other regulated environments (a plus, but not mandatory)

Strong attention to data quality, reliability, and security in a regulated environment

Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams

German language skills (B2 level or higher) are essential for communication within the team and with stakeholders

A proactive mindset with a focus on clean, efficient, and maintainable code
