Senior Test Automation Engineer (58182)

We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer for the development center of an international financial service provider in Vienna.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support QA Lead in designing and utilizing test automation procedures, frameworks and tools.
• Coordinate with Technical and Product Leadership to determine appropriate functionalities, business priorities and strategies.
• Participate in technical reviews and suggest technical improvements, technology upgrades, architecture changes, etc.
• Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organization’s agile project lifecycle.

Skills and Key Competencies:

• Extensive experience working with backend API test automation
• Knowledge of software QA methodologies, frameworks, and processes
• Experience with test case management tools, ideally TestRail
• Background in security testing is a plus
• Foundational understanding of distributed software architectures, cloud-native development, and containerization (Docker or Kubernetes)
• Experience working with SQL databases
• Coaching and supporting development teams to adopt our test-automation approaches and offerings, to ensure the delivery of a high-quality and secure Software
• Highly motivated with an ownership mindset and enthusiastic approach to innovating and creative problem solving
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to drive important topics and improvement initiatives
• Solid technical writing skills
• Demonstrate self-awareness

Experience:

• 6-7 years of industry experience (or equivalent) as a test automation engineer
