Head of Lab Operations Full time on site Cologne – open to candidates looking to relocate to the area * however no relocation package provided*We are seeking someone with strong leadership skills with a background of being in the lab who can oversee things from an operational point of view and drive forward growth, strategic alignment and have their hand in high level client communication when needed. They need someone who is happy to be present on site and act in a Site Management / Site Leadership type of role. This company is a global leader in supporting clinical research with customised lab solutions. We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Director of Lab Operations to lead their site in Cologne. Your Mission:You\’ll be at the SME of the lab & sample lifecycle services — overseeing scientific excellence, quality, compliance, and operational delivery. You\’ll set the strategic direction, champion innovation, lead a high-performing team, and ensure that all processes align with both regulatory standards and client expectations.Key Responsibilities:Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency and scalability.Manage cross-functional teams involved in sample handling, processing, and investigator support.Cultivate key client and laboratory partner relationships.Ensure full regulatory compliance across all operational activities.Monitor and enhance performance through data-driven decision making.Collaborate with internal leaders across Quality, BD, and Scientific Operations.About You:Very strong leadership experience – growing and maintain KPI\’s and performance.Must be from a lab backgroundWhy Join ?This is more than a leadership role — it’s a chance to shape the future of clinical development through innovation.
