We are supporting one of our clients — a leader in the insurance sector — in their search for an experienced Claims Manager to oversee a complex portfolio of bodily injury and fraud claims within both commercial and personal lines . This is a key role within the organization’s claims function, offering the opportunity to shape litigation outcomes, ensure high standards of claims handling, and contribute directly to quality assurance.

This is a hybrid role based in Munich , with an initial 4–5 weeks of onsite onboarding, after which flexible working will apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee a portfolio of complex bodily injury and fraud-related insurance claims
• Authorize claim settlements and advise on litigation strategies in collaboration with legal counsel
• Ensure quality control and consistency across active files, aligning with regulatory and internal standards
• Engage with external legal bodies, insurers, and regulatory stakeholders
• Contribute to strategic improvements in claims processes and risk controls

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 15 years of experience in complex insurance claims (preferably bodily injury and fraud)
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and regulatory frameworks
• Experience in both commercial and personal lines claims is required
• Demonstrated leadership, analytical decision-making, and ability to work under pressure
• Fluent German and English.
• Ideally based near Munich , though relocation is not a requirement for the right candidate
• Hybrid working model : Initial 4–5 weeks training onsite, followed by flexible work arrangements
• Tools provided : Laptop and mobile phone.
• Expenses : Mileage and relevant travel costs reimbursed
