Job Purpose
This role focuses on the technical and leadership experience required to create and govern scientific data information models following FAIR-QT principles to enable storage & accessibility in alignment with R&D data platforms, enabling consistent provisioning of fit-for-purpose data to R&D teams to use and R&D teams to have clarity which processes to use with the ease of mind that data governance with transparent data ownership are embedded.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain scientific data information models
- Advising on implementation of data information models in clinical trial context
- Develop and implement a vision and strategy to create and govern scientific data information models to enable storage & accessibility in alignment with the R&D Data Platforms
- Ensure alignment of governance and data management practice by partnering with enterprise-wide information and data architects, ontology management, data governance groups
- Partner strongly with the R&D Tech teams and deliver use-cases to address the deficiencies and opportunities that exist to further create and modernise clinical, RWD and bioinformatics data information models
- Represent the organization in industry forums and collaborate with external partners to advance data information modelling practices
Why you?
Basic Qualifications & Skills:
- BSc/MSc/PhD (or equivalent) in Information Science, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related subject
- Understanding of data information modelling and governance principles and practices
- Agile mindset, the ability to iterate improvements based on stakeholder feedback
- Deep expertise of clinical data and information modelling based on HL7, FHIR, OMOP(CDM), CDISC (ODM: CDASH, SDTM, ADaM), USDM and other industry standards
- Deep expertise in clinical data regulations, processes and interfaces
- Have experience in driving change in a large global organization
- Be adept at assessing/addressing emerging business needs and strong at forging relationships at all levels
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in developing taxonomies and ontologies is an advantage
- Development of standards through participation in cross-industry working groups
