Senior Project Engineer, Europe (m/f/d)
Location: Hamburg, Germany
Workplace Type: On-Site
This role is responsible for planning, coordination and management of our investment projects. In this role you will be required to travel across various Ingredion sites as part of the projects.
As Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for end-to-end project management in coordination with the needs of the business partners as well as ensuring efficient, time, resource-, and cost-effective execution. In this role, you will report directly to Senior Manager Engineering & Reliability, Europe and will work with project team members as your indirect reports.
What will you do:

• End-to-end project management – Develop (new) technical concepts and transfer into concrete projects along with risk management. Manage the project from concept design to planning, implementation, commissioning and handover to the future owner/user.
• Technical and commercial project management –
  • Preparation of specifications and requests for quotations for key components and services
  • Budget management: budget estimation, cost tracking, reporting
  • Technical review of offers and order confirmations and its justification
  • Manage documentation
• Ensure Compliance – Continuous project control with responsibility for adherence to scope, budget, schedule, health and safety as well as quality objectives
• Stakeholder Management – Manage internal & external stakeholders, including suppliers and contractors
• Cross-functional collaboration – Close collaboration with other departments such as Operations, Process Engineering, Maintenance, EHS, Quality…
• Continuous Improvement – Independent identification of optimization opportunities and implementation of improvement projects, e.g. in the areas of operational efficiency, quality, EHS
• Participation in plant on-call duty (Werksrufbereitschaft)

What you will bring:

• Master of Science or similar degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Experienced in Project management with 5 to 10 years of work experience
• Experience in Project Management, Process Engineering, ideally in a manufacturing and maintenance environment
• Exceptional communication skills, with fluency in Spoken & Written English and min. B2 in German
