About the Role

We’re seeking a generalist Staff Engineer to design and build a Security Operations stack using AWS native and open source components. This role involves technical leadership, architecture, design, mentoring, and collaboration with Security, Platform, Infrastructure, and IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and delivery of a cloud-native Security Operations stack including log aggregation, correlation, analysis, and alerting.
• Contribute to incident response processes, including training and exercises.
• Collaborate on architectural patterns and best practices for securing multi-tenant SaaS applications.
• Integrate endpoint detection and response tools, AWS security services, and make them valuable for diverse teams.
• Participate in shared Security-team triage rotation during working hours.

Requirements

• Significant experience in DevOps teams supporting SaaS products.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services, Kubernetes, Terraform, Datadog, GitHub/GitOps.
• Strong incident response experience.
• Holistic thinking about user needs, technology, and processes.
• Proficiency in modern development languages like Python or Go; experience with TypeScript is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with security teams.
• Experience developing cross-organizational processes, especially incident response.
