Job Description: Data Engineer (Databricks & Cloud)

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Databricks and cloud platforms to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years of experience working with Databricks and Apache Spark
• Strong Python programming skills, including data manipulation libraries like PySpark and Spark SQL
• Experience with core Databricks components: Workflows, Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables
• Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and database systems
• Proven experience with at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Excellent SQL skills for data querying and transformation
• Good communication skills in English and German (min. B2)
• Ability to work independently and in agile teams

Responsibilities

• Build scalable data solutions using Databricks, Spark, and Python
• Develop and maintain ETL processes for diverse data sources
• Utilize Databricks ecosystem tools to ensure reliable data workflows
• Integrate with cloud services for secure, efficient data solutions
• Participate in data modeling and architecture decisions
• Ensure data quality and compliance with governance policies
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to meet data needs
• Stay updated with the latest in data engineering and cloud technologies
