Head of Accounting

We are recruiting a Head of Accounting to oversee all financial activities. The Head of Accounting\’s responsibilities include managing financial tasks and ensuring that finances are used beneficially. You should also ensure that investments and finances comply with regulations.

To succeed as a Head of Accounting, you should demonstrate excellent leadership qualities and strong accounting knowledge. Suitable candidates should also maintain the organization\’s finances effectively and increase profitability.

Responsibilities:

1. Managing accounting teams and the finance department, ensuring smooth operations.
2. Preparing reports on financial results and activities for the executive team, board members, and key stakeholders.
3. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and that team members adhere to these regulations.
4. Identifying opportunities to increase profitability.
5. Overseeing accounts receivable and bank reconciliation processes.
6. Meeting with other department heads to coordinate financial activities.
7. Establishing secure procedures for financial management.

Experience and Education Requirements:

1. Experience as a Head of Accounting or a similar senior role.
2. Experience in ERP migration; NetSuite and Datev experience is a plus.
3. Solid understanding of financial management and accounting principles.
4. Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
5. Effective leadership qualities.
6. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

Reports to: Country Manager / Functional reporting – CFO

Salary Range: 60,000 EUR to 72,000 EUR per year
