Introduction
The Fab 1 CIM team comprises system/software engineers managing applications and systems supporting our automated 300 mm Fab, working closely with developers, testers, admins, and end-users. The team is responsible for installing, operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting software systems to ensure high performance and availability in our complex cleanroom environment, critical for productivity and financial success.
Your Job
- Operational support for CIM applications in Dresden
- Plan and implement application updates during scheduled maintenance
- Participate in system testing within QA processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, including on-call duties
- Create and update support documentation and training guides
- Monitor and analyze systems and interfaces within the factory environment
- Assess performance impacts and optimize accordingly
Required Qualifications
This position is tailored for new college graduates.
- Bachelor/Master in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields
- Strong technical knowledge of modern software technologies
- Ability to handle complexity and communicate abstractly
- Skills in analyzing business and production processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German
- Experience with Unix, Windows, and OLTP databases
- Basic IT Service Management knowledge
- Independent work ethic with troubleshooting skills, especially during major incidents
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Linux administration and JBoss environments
- Knowledge of Unix Shell/PowerShell scripting and Java
- Familiarity with fab applications like MES (SiView, APF/RTD, SPC/FDC)
- Understanding of transport layer technologies (MQ, CORBA, HTTP, SOAP)
- Proficiency in SQL and XML
- Willingness to travel globally
