Trade Finance and Lending (TF&L) is one of the leading business departments in the Corporate Bank working with clients around the globe. It has great dependency on IT platform to service the Bank’s clients. The group is working on technology refresh of their IT platform to enable new services for customers as well as to achieve next level of business processes automation.
In-house IT team already achieved great success designing, building and rolling out into production its strategic platform for TF&L business. Based on that success there is a further desire to build towards our strategic architecture.
Your primary focus will be to develop new user interfaces as well as UI kit and design system, for clients of the bank and internal users alike, taking part in the tech transformation of one of the key revenue generating businesses in the Bank.

Your key responsibilities
- Be part of business-oriented delivery teams – implementing new strategic UI and BFF
- Work as part of the UI core platform team – doing UI kit and design system, re-usable across hundreds of developers – also collaborating across the bank
- Maintain existing UI and BFF – mostly built in the recent couple years
- Do SL3 production support – ensure clear monitoring and quick resolution of issues ranging from UI-side bugs and compatibility issues to connectivity and BFF behaviour
- Ensure top notch look and feel – market leading, delivering the spirit of excellence 🙂
Your skills and experiences
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience – UI and Fullstack (can consider UI-only), very good math and algorithms complexity, good understanding of CS foundations
- Very good understanding of Web UI: TypeScript, CSS, HTML/DOM, Browser etc.
- Good understanding of networks: HTTP, WebSockets, connectivity
- Good understanding of BFF topics: APIs, data virtualization, authentication
- Experience building organization-level UI kits and design system, including associated communication within the team/across the organization – is a great plus. Fluent written and spoken English is essential – you will communicate a lot on your job, global team.
