Position: Sales Director

Location: Germany – Hybrid

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets within the events industry.
  2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding existing client accounts and acquiring new clients.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and providing innovative solutions to exceed their expectations.
  4. Lead and manage the sales team, setting clear objectives, providing guidance, and fostering a high-performance culture.
  5. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends, customer preferences, and potential areas for growth.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure effective execution of commercial strategies and seamless event delivery.
  7. Negotiate and finalize contracts with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that align with company objectives.
  8. Monitor and analyze sales performance, preparing regular reports and presenting findings to senior management.
  9. Stay current with industry developments, attend conferences, and networking events, and participate in relevant professional associations.
  10. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, continuous learning, and professional development.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field. An MBA or similar postgraduate qualification is highly desirable.
  2. Proven experience in a senior commercial or sales role within the events industry, with a strong track record of achieving revenue targets and driving business growth.
  3. In-depth knowledge of the events industry, including trends, best practices, and key players.
  4. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team
