Position Overview:

The firm is seeking a Highly Commercial & Entrepreneurial Associate to join its investment team. This role is ideally suited for an individual making their first move out of Investment Banking who is eager to leverage their analytical skills and transaction experience in a more entrepreneurial environment. Joining an Investment Team of 10, the successful candidate will work closely with Partners to identify, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities while actively participating in portfolio management and strategic development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Investment Analysis & Evaluation:

• Conduct financial analysis, market research, and company due diligence for potential investments.
• Prepare investment memos, presentations, and valuation models for internal discussions and Investment Committee approvals.

Transaction Execution:

• Support the execution of investments, including financial modelling, structuring, and negotiation.
• Collaborate with legal, financial, and operational teams to manage due diligence and transaction processes.

Portfolio Management:

• Monitor the performance of portfolio companies, assisting in the development of growth strategies and operational improvements.
• Work alongside management teams to drive value creation and strategic initiatives.

Market Research & Origination:

• Conduct industry analysis to identify emerging trends, market dynamics, and investment opportunities.
• Support the team in deal origination activities and relationship building with key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of experience in M&A or MBB. Associate Lateral moves would be considered.
• Bachelor\’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; proficiency in English and German is essential, with Dutch language skills considered an advantage.
• Demonstrated interest in private equity and portfolio value creation.
