In this role you report to the Head of Digital Infrastructure within Central Service Organization (CSO).
Responsibilities / Tasks
- Build and maintain data pipelines (stream & batch) with a focus on time-series data from heating & refrigeration equipment
- Implement Advanced Analytics workflows leveraging data from different sources
- Collaborate closely with data analysts and Digital Product Development Teams
- Leverage the GEA Cloud Analytical Platform and collaborate with the GEA Digital Hub on its improvement
- Engage in the Data Engineering / Science Guild and establish a network across the organization
- Leverage state-of-the-art tools and techniques to develop clean, efficient, and reusable code
- Apply software engineering best practices (e.g., version control, CI/CD)
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Completed studies in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or similar field
- Proven 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering
- Experience in building robust and scalable data pipelines
- Experience in using analytics frameworks like Spark / Databricks
- Deep knowledge of data analysis languages (e.g. SQL, Python)
- Experience with industrial IoT, sensor data, or real-time analytics driven plant process control
- Agile mindset
- Optional: Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform
- Optional: Experience in implementing AI workflows
- Fluent English language skills
