Start-up Business Developer & Team Leader at Project EMULATE

Faculty of Computer Science
(Salary level: 13 TV-L)

Today, Edge AI is one of the most exiting areas in the cloud and IT industry. Together with leading industry partners our research project EMULATE has developed an innovative service quality management platform. Based on this platform we will create a start-up company that offers an AI-based Edge Orchestrator.

• Developing the customer value proposition for the AI-based Edge Orchestrator
• Running in-depth market and competitor analysis
• Developing the business plan
• Leading a small team of software developers and AI experts
• Leading the engagement with industry partners and customers
• Running the roadshow for investors and secure start-up investments
• Working in an excellent lab environment (e.g. 5G campus network, high-performance server cluster)
• Working in an interdisciplinary, international team of IT, network and application experts

You are passionate about edge & cloud services as well as the related business and technology. Ideally you have already demonstrated your passion for product and business development with some professional achievements.

• You hold a master degree in business administration, computer science or an adjacent field
• Proven track record in the development of customer value propositions
• Prooven track record in business plan development (target customer definition, marketing & sales plan, cost & revenue plans etc.)
• Basic knowledge about virtualization-, container- and orchestration technologies as well as applied AI
• Willingness to learn about edge computing, resource orchestration and network technologies (TCP/IP and 5G/6G)
• Some experience with industry partner, customer and investor engagement
• Experience from senior management or C-level start-up positions is helpful for this role
• A good level of written and spoken English is mandatory for this position
